Contacting the school and our open-door policy

For matters concerning your child, your first port-of-call is your child’s class teacher(s). You can usually catch them at the beginning and end of the school day for a brief imparting of information that you wish them to know at once. Longer discussions can be had by appointment. Welcome Meetings will be held in the first few weeks of term and there will be parent-consultation meetings after October half-term. Each phase has a leader for any matters that cannot be easily resolved with the class teacher:

EYFS Phase Leader: (Reception) Mrs Conrad

Key Stage 1 Phase Leader: (Year 1 and 2) Mrs Hawkins

Lower Key Stage 2 Phase Leader: (Year 3 and 4) Mr Burrows

Upper Key Stage 2 Phase Leader: (Year 5 and 6) Mr Anderson

Mrs Strong (Deputy Headteacher) and I are also available to you and at least one of us is usually outside in the morning. With regard to this, I must ask you not to email or write to us. You might imagine the constant communications that come in to us from national and local education sources each day. You will appreciate that our time is best spent around the school monitoring teaching and learning rather than responding to emails/letters in our office. We will, however, be pleased to meet with you in person for important/urgent issues, including safeguarding and child protection. Please contact the school office to arrange a mutually convenient time.

Mrs Ronchetti (SENDCo) should be contacted with regards to Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities and Mrs Viney (Inclusion Leader for Pupil Premium and Family Support) can also be contacted regarding additional needs.

The School Office staff will help you with administrative matters – you will be receiving a number of communications from us. Please bear with the necessary paperwork and return information sheets as appropriate. Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Helen Morris (Headteacher)
