Dragons' Den Week

Our first ever Dragons’ Den week was a huge success, providing lots of meaningful opportunities for real-life maths and problem solving. School was buzzing with young entrepreneurs designing, pitching, making and then selling their products. In third place was Year R with their staff cress heads (£123.78 profit). Year 5 came second with their shoe shining service (£141.70 profit) and Year 3 were overall winners with their Roman inspired mosaic picture frames and coasters, which made an amazing £169.25 profit!  The total profit raised from all seven stalls at the Summerlea Market was an incredible £896.13 and Year 3 representatives will now help choose new maths resources for our school and attend a special celebration event at TLA. Thank you to Mrs Crook and Mr Cox for organising the week, to everyone else involved and, of course, to all of the children and their customers!
