Poppy Appeal

Poppy Appeal

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Royal British Legion by purchasing a poppy. This year marks the 100th anniversary of armistice day and the end of World War 1.

On Monday last week Roger Purdom (from Littlehampton Churches Together) led a whole school assembly on Remembrance Day and respect.

Mrs Hills (Learning Support and After School Care Club Assistant) has been busy helping children to create 100 beautiful poppies (one for each year) out of plastic bottles to ‘plant’ in the school grounds. We hope you have spotted these on the hill opposite the field and are sure you will agree they look stunning.

We would like the poppies to remain on display until the end of the month and kindly ask that parents do not allow younger siblings to go on the mound or to touch them. If anyone would then be interested in buying one for £1 please let the office know and we will reserve you one! All of the profit will go to the Poppy Appeal. A huge thank you to Mrs Hills for suggesting and organising this.
