2018-19 Outcomes

Please follow the links to the right to view our 2018-19 results.

Key Stage 2 performance tables will be published on Friday 13th December 2019. We are writing to you ahead of this to summarise our outcomes for the academic year 2018-19. This letter also offers guidance in interpreting this information.

We last wrote to you in July 2019 to share our provisional Key Stage 2 outcomes and to celebrate the significant improvement we made in being closer to National Averages.

We also shared progress towards our School Improvement Plan 2018-19 with you in September 2019 as well as our school improvement priorities for the next two academic years. (For parents who are new to the school, previous communication regarding this is available via our website: http://www.summerlea.wsussex.sch.uk/ Our School > School Improvement and Our School > School Performance Data.)

Full performance tables are accessible at: https://www.compare-school-performance.service.gov.uk  and a full set of our validated Key Stage 2 results will be published on our website, along with this link. Please visit www.summerlea.w-sussex.sch.uk > Our School > School Performance Data and also Our School > School Improvement for more information. In addition to reporting our Key Stage 2 data, we have also included a headline summary of our Key Stage 1 (Year 2) and EYFS (Reception) outcomes.

Our journey of whole school improvement continues this year as we strive to improve standards of achievement in reading at the end of Key Stage 2 and writing at the end of Key stage 1. We have high expectations of all our staff and children and are confident that outcomes at the end of each Key Stage will be positive.

EYFS were externally moderated last year and this provides quality assurance to our teacher assessment; 100% of these judgements were agreed. Our staff and governors are fully committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all of our pupils. We are continuing to work closely with the Local Authority and are also receiving School to School Support from St Wilfrid’s Catholic Primary School in Angmering.

If you have any questions or concerns then please do not hesitate to come and speak to us. You can also contact governors via email at governors@summerleaschool.co.uk  Please remember, if your query is about your child then their class teacher is always your first point of contact and after that the Phase Leader.
