Dragons’ Den Week

This is the third year that we have participated in Dragons’ Den week and once again it was incredibly successful.

The children worked together in year group teams to decide on a product or service to pitch to our team of dragons to secure their investments. The week culminated with our Summerlea Market and there was great excitement in assembly on Friday when Mr Burrows revealed the winners:

3rd place: Year 2 (seed things) with a profit of £93.93

2nd place: Year 3 (cosaics) with a profit of £118.45

1st place: Year 4 (beaded bracelets, pencilpots and pompom key rings) with a profit of £188.50

Representatives from Year 4 will now be involved in choosing new mathematics resources for the school and also attend the locality Dragons’ Den event at TLA in the summer term.

The overall amount raised was a fantastic £674.71!  Thank you to everyone for your support and to the maths team for organising this event.
