At Summerlea School we intend to learn from and about different religious groups and beliefs and how they shape life and behaviour. In doing this, children will understand the world around them and will become resilient, understanding, accepting and inquisitive learners.
The children of Summerlea will be asking questions to enquire about and reflect on different world views and their own beliefs, morals and experiences.
At Summerlea School, we believe that it is important to develop all children’s cultural capital and endeavour to offer children rich and varied experiences; to equip children with the essential knowledge about world religions and different communities. As part of a broad and balanced curriculum, R.E. will promote equality and the understanding of British values and will ensure that children are well-prepared for life in modern Britain.
