The percentage of children achieving the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Mathematics combined in 2017 was significantly below West Sussex and National. In 2018 it increased significantly but was below West Sussex and significantly below National. In 2019 it further increased and was broadly in line with West Sussex but below National.

In 2018 it increased significantly and was broadly in line with West Sussex and just below National. In 2019 it increased further and was broadly in line with West Sussex and National.

The average scaled score for mathematics has been below West Sussex and National in 2017 and 2018. In 2019 it was broadly in line with West Sussex and National. There was a 3.1 points rise since 2018 and a 5.6 points rise since 2017.

Progress is measured for each individual pupil from their Key Stage 1 outcomes. It is measured against this as either a positive or negative score with 0 being the progress made nationally by children with a similar Key Stage 1 starting point.
