Ofsted & School Performance
Quite rightly, academic achievement is very important to us at Summerlea. We want our pupils to achieve as highly as they can and this means making the progress we would expect and more. It is our responsibility to deliver a curriculum which excites and engages our children and at the same time gives them the skills and knowledge they need for the future.
Although our Ofsted grading currently reads 'requires improvement', I would encourage you to fully read our report. The school is on a rapid journey of improvement and I would actively encourage you to come and look around the school for yourself, talk to members of our community and come and see the exciting changes for yourself!
Indeed, we are nearly three years into that journey, and look at our results flourish! It is not everything, but it really matters.
We are very proud of our 2025 performance.
I am a firm believer that all schools have strengths and areas to improve, we are no different, but our aim is to provide an education like no other: built on academic progress but also celebrating all the other areas in which primary school children should experience. Summerlea should be a time where children look back upon with fond memories, building strong bespoke experiences which shape their futures.
