On Tuesday last week, representatives of Summerlea Dance Squad took part in Time To Dance at Worthing Pavilion Theatre. They performed a fantastic piece to a Matilda the Musical Medley: ‘Naughty’ and ‘Revolting Children’. Each child shone and represented our school and its love of dance brilliantly. Congratulations to all of the children and a big thank you to Miss Walker (Dance leader) who choreographed the piece. Thank you also to Mrs Viney and Mrs Hasted (parent) for their help behind the scenes on the day. Last Friday was Sport Relief and we took part in ‘run a mile with a smile’. Thank you very much for supporting this event which raised £331.55 for the charity. Thank you also to Miss Walker and Mrs Robins (PE team) for organising it and for their very entertaining opening act in Cowbell assembly (with guest appearances from Mrs Maxted and Mrs Wright!) which kick-started the day. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time on Saturday to come along and join our beach clean. We had a great turn out and the weather stayed kind too. Well done and thank you to Harry Wicks and Mrs Chittenden for suggesting and organising this event. And finally, a special mention to Amy Dunstan (Hawthorn Class) who has been litter picking on her way to school with her mum and younger brother. Over the week they have collected many bin bags full of rubbish. Well done Amy for her fantastic initiative and demonstration of our school values!
