Black History Month

As you may already be aware, October is Black History Month. This year’s theme is ‘Proud To Be’ and people of all ages from minority ethnic backgrounds are being invited to share what they are “proud to be”. The main national Black History Month website is an excellent starting point regarding Black History Month 2021 if you would like to find out more. All year groups will be spending some time exploring the concept of Black History Month and a significant individual. Last year, we also had an incredibly generous anonymous donation of books around this theme, which are now in our new library to be enjoyed by everyone.
