Pets as Therapy

Pets as Therapy

This term we are really excited to be working with the charity Pets as Therapy. One of the schemes that the charity runs is 'Read2Dogs' aimed at supporting children to improve their reading and communication skills.  We are delighted to welcome Nanna, a 10-year-old golden retriever and her owner Gaynor. The duo will be volunteering in school on a Tuesday afternoon to work with a targeted group of pupils and parental consent will be sought prior to this. We know that Nanna is going to be a huge hit with both our children and staff! Pets as Therapy have clear guidance and risk assessments in place, as do we as a school. If you have any questions or concerns, then please do not hesitate to contact us.
